This is a weekly meme where any one can choose a random book from their Goodreads TBR and highlight it. Once you choose a book and create your post, make sure you link and reference the creator, @Lauren’s Page Turners. Evetually, I will try to find a rhyme or reason to my choices, but for now, each week will feature a random one that I mean to read soon!
This Week’s Selection: What If? by Shari Low
Carly Cooper is 30, single, and after coming close to saying ‘I Do’ to six different men, she’s wondering if she accidentally said ‘goodbye’ to Mr Right.
But there is a problem:
Her ex-boyfriends are scattered all over the world and Carly lives in 1999; an era before Facebook, Google, smartphones, 4G and Broadband, when it was impossible to track people down with a few clicks of a mouse.
On a mission to discover if she walked away from her ‘happy ever after’, Carly quits her job, her flat, her whole life and sets off on a quest to track down all the men she has ever loved.
Her Mr Right is out there, but can she find him?
And what if he’s moved on from the ex-girlfriend who said goodbye?
This novel is back on my TBR radar as it’s sequel, What Now?, is scheduled for release on February 25th 2021.
I have the sequel on my Kindle for an ARC read and I figure it’s time to start making more of an effort to read the others in the series before jumping in partway through. I’ve failed many times as I’ve read many novels that are sequels without ever reading the initial novels so I’m trying to be better and read the first ones before moving on to the next.
Initially, I selected this novel as it is a fun concept – who wouldn’t want to drop everything to travel around the world to find out what could have been? Even if it was not for love, I would love to just travel and see all the different possibilities for me.
As I accomplished my first goal and read The Royal We last week, we shall see if I can continue and read this novel, too!
