~ #TopTenTuesday January 26, 2021 ~

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

How it works: Each Tuesday will be assigned a topic and then you post your top ten list that fits it. Feel free to add your own spin on the topic to make it work for you! For me, I’m not sure the type of spin I want to put on it, so for now I’ll post fairly straight-forward responses.

I put next month’s topics at the bottom of the post, but you can find the whole list on the host blog. If you don’t have a blog, you’re welcome to participate using other social media or even by putting your list in the comments.

This Week’s Topic: New-to-Me Authors I Read in 2020 (If you didn’t read 10 new authors, that’s fine! Just do what you can.)

**You can select the cover of each novel to access their entry on Goodreads. Also, the links to my review for each book is underneath.**

Madeline Miller

Kendare Blake

Aidan Thomas

Jennifer Armentrout

Rosalie Oaks

Elin Hilderbrand

Jasmine Guillory

Abby Jimenez

Olivia Dade

Sophie Kinsella

FEBRUARY TOPICS:

February 2: Books Written Before I Was Born (These can be books you’ve read or want to read!) (submitted by Davida Chazan @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog)
February 9:
Valentine’s Day/Love Freebie
February 16:
Purple, Yellow, and/or Green Book Covers (in honor of Mardis Gras, which is today!)
February 23:
Books That Made Me Laugh Out Loud (Claire @ Book Lovers Pizza)

As I did not get fully into reading aside from maybe one or two books a year until April 2020, this list was both easy and difficult for me to complete. Almost every author I read was a new-to-me author as I read a very limited number of authors previously. Now I am expanding more and more and I hope that this list continues to grow as I love discovering new authors to follow. Some of the authors on this list have been around for a long time and others are debut ones. The novels I selected are the first novel that I read from that author.

  1. I have heard a lot of them but… haven’t read 🙈

I’ve heard a lot about Sophie Kinsella’s rom-com and I definitely plan to pick one of her books this year!

    Kendare Blake, Rosalie Oaks and
Elin Hilderbrand are the authors I’ve not heard of before, so definitely checking them out!

    1. Sophie Kinsella has tons of books so you’ll have many good ones to choose from! Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter series just got picked up to be turned into a series so you can watch it eventually if you don’t get around to read it haha! I hope you end up enjoying any of these authors if you pick up their books! 😀

  2. Brilliant list! I love Kensare Blake and I’ve always wanted to try jasmine guillory’s books (although they seem a little daunting!). I seem to be really bad at following the ttt prompts lol so this week I tried top ten bookish things that annoy me. Although there could have been SO MANY MORE 😫 Here’s my post in case you’re interested 🙂 https://hundredsandthousandsofbooks.blog/2021/01/26/ttt-26-1-top-ten-bookish-things-i-hate/
