It is both very believable and hard to believe that January is already over. Book-wise I had a fairly decent month in reading as I managed to fit in a good number of novels. Some of them are promising starts to series, which means I hope that they continue to entertain me and I get a chance to continue them.
As this is my first ever Monthly Wrap-Up, it will take me some time to develop a style that suites me. For now, I am following a similar format to my Weekly Wrap-Ups, but I am sure that will change by the time February ends.
This month for blogging has been very fun as I started participating in multiple memes that are both entertaining in themselves, but also help me track my current reading and my endless TBR list. Eventually, I plan to put my reading challenges into posts as I am attempting a few this year. At the moment, they are sitting and being tracked in Excel sheets, but I will eventually put them in posts.

Spell the Month in Books: JANUARY
That is it for January! I was very lucky this month to receive multiple ARCs and RCs (review copies that are given after their released dates), as well as, tons of books free from friends/family so I saved a ton of money while growing my novel collection. Unfortunately, this means that I spent more money in other areas, such as new toys for my dogs and fun kitchen gadgets (who knew a mandolin slicer would be a purchase I would ever make haha).
Bring on February as I have hope that it will continue to be a great reading month!

Looks like a great reading month! I’ve been interested in Nick, I want to reread The Great Gatsby before I read it though. Hopefully I’ll be finally getting to From Blood and Ash this month. I love the donut ratings by the way!

January was a great month and I hope to keep it up in February! I hope you enjoy both Nick and From Blood and Ash as they were both excellent reads! (Also, thank you! The donuts were a creation of my friend Mary A. who occassionally writes reviews with me.) 😀

Thank you! I hope you enjoy it too! I’m thinking of waiting until April and binge reading them both right before the release of the third book!!

A part of me wishes I waited so I can binge them and the other can’t wait that long – it is the most difficult part about any series >.<

Yes, I totally understand that dilemma! I am trying to be better about series this year. I’m so glad the final book comes out soon and I can binge them all. Otherwise, I would probably just read the first two anyways. haha. I always wonder if I should wait but there’s always other books to help fill in until the next book comes out! 🙂

Exactly! There are plenty of books to fill the time between now and then. I need to also start temporarily hiding some series on my Kindle so I am not tempted to start them yet as I wait for some of them to finish and then I can binge. We shall see how that goes haha

Yes, That’s a good idea! I didn’t even know you could do that. Finishing series is so satisfying but I have such a hard time getting there. Why!! Hahaha

I have From Blood to Ash on my TBR and I’ve been seeing a lot of hype about it so I’m excited to give it ago.

I found it when doing one of my weekly memes and other bloggers wrote it was a fantastic series, so I had to give it a try and ended up loving it! I hope you enjoy it, too!! 😀
