~ #SixForSunday: Blue and Green Books~

#SixforSunday is… it’s really just that. You choose 6 books (normally) that you’d choose to fit whatever the prompt is that week. This meme is hosted by A Little but a Lot and you can follow the link to find the prompts for January to March. I’ll also post this month’s prompt’s at the end of the post.

This week’s prompt: Blue and Green Books

*I went with novels featuring blue or green covers that I have not been featured as much in my other reviews. *

**My choices are in no particular order. You can click on their covers to explore their Goodreads entries.**

1. Accidentally Engaged Review

Reena and Nadim were a fun pair of characters. This story was a very enjoyable read that provides a great romance story. The novel is a definite re-read at one time down the road.

2. Ace of Swords – Review

It has been awhile since I have a read a novel featuring vampires and even longer since I read one featuring angels. This story features a ton of supernatural beings and it was very interesting seeing their war with each other and how it all played out.

3. Secrets of the Starcrossed – Review

The Once and Future Queen series has turned into a must-read for me as I am still attempting to fit the third novel into my schedule. There is a fascinating magic system in this series and I cannot wait to see how this series turns out.

4. All the Murmuring Bones Review

Miren O’Malley’s character was a fun one to read about. This story was not what I expected as I thought it would feature more merpeople. The folklore and magic in this novel was very captivating and a great, overall read.

5. Splintered Stars Review

This novel is the start of the Sevens series. Haley Quinlan (I had a hard time sometimes reading without thinking her name was Harley Quinn) is a witch that did not know she was a witch. The story starts with her sister being kidnapped and the timeline follows Haley learning about her abilities and attempting to find Haley’s sister.

6. Mages Unbound Review

This is the second novel in the Fifth Mage War series where the Bant family is continuing their journey. There are a lot of separate stories as each member is at different places around the world, so it will be interesting to see how this series continues and if the characters will all be brought together at some point.

March – Around the world in 80 books

7th – Books set in the country you live
14th – Books set elsewhere in the world
21st – Characters you think deserve a holiday
28th – Blue and green books

April – The Viper-inspired ones

4th – Books with snakes on the cover/in the title
11th – Magical books
18th – Fictional islands you’d like to visit
25th – Characters who would make great ships captains

This week’s topic was a little easier than last week’s as I went through find covers with different colors. I tried to not only choose novels featuring those colors, but also ones that I do not always get a chance to feature in my other posts. It is difficult to believe that this is the last Sunday post in March and now we are onto April!

  1. I recently added Accidentally Engaged to my Kindle and I’m excited to check it out! I took a peek at the first few lines and I already know I’m gonna have fun with it 😊 Great list!
