~ Weekly Wrap-Up: Week 14 ~

Welcome to this week’s Weekly Wrap-up. For these posts, I will recap my reviews and other posts from the past week and highlight any books that were published within the last week (if any). In addition, to recapping my week, these posts also serve the purpose of helping me to figure out where I am for my progress on different books/posts and to help plan out the next week.

Four of my reads from the last week were all published on April 6th. Previously, I read and reviewed After the One (Review) and Kisses and Croissants (Review) that were also published earlier this week. Somehow with six Netgalley ARCs, I am still not close to the ideal 80% ratio. Although it does not matter to all publishers, it is still a goal of mine to get some where near this ratio.

It was a crazy whirlwind to complete 11 novels (granted four of them were audiobooks). When I look at the number alone it seems impossible that I took the time to enjoy each, but, in reality, I actually did and somehow I just ended up reading them a lot faster than I thought. My reading style is taking at least an hour in the evening for my novels and then listen to the audiobooks during the day, if possible, while I work on other projects. So far, this pattern has been working out, but I would love an actual day to do nothing but reading (a one day readathon would be lovely).

I started a new meme this week called the Blogger Hop. Each week there is a question or topic to address where the blogger gets to talk about themselves. I decided to give it a try as it was something a little different as it is just a written answer of my opinions. I also finished two duologies, Pirate King and Fable. Next week, my general plan is to try and accomplish the Folk of the Air series in audiobook form, so I will have to see how that goes. I have not requested new ARCs for the past few weeks, so, for now, I am working through my pile. Luckily, they are decent reads, which is definitely helping me get through them. Happy reading this month to everyone and hope you all have a fantastic reading/blogging week!

    1. April has been good for reading so far as I can push some responsibilities aside and give myself more time to read. My reading amount comes and goes in waves, but I figure any week can be a good week if I can get to at least one book. 😀
