Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
How it works: Each Tuesday will be assigned a topic and then you post your top ten list that fits it. Feel free to add your own spin on the topic to make it work for you! For me, I’m not sure the type of spin I want to put on it, so for now I’ll post fairly straight-forward responses.
I put this month’s topics at the bottom of the post, but you can find the whole list on the host blog. If you don’t have a blog, you’re welcome to participate using other social media or even by putting your list in the comments.

Animals from Books (these could be mythical, real, main characters, sidekicks, companions/pets, shifters, etc.) (Submitted by Paige @paigesquared and Jennifer Y. @ Never Too Many to Read)
For this week’s topic, “Animals from Books,” I debated about using only mythical or only real. I settled on dogs as they are underrated in novels as sometimes they are just there. Unfortunately, I chose five and then my mind went blank, so I changed it to other animals that were either really enjoyable or very integral to their stories. For the five dog novels, three of them are from The Friend Zone series as all three featured dogs that were important in one way or another with the story. For the second half, I did some real animals, such as a fox, and then chose two mythical for the last two. I am sure I could have found five more dogs to complete my original idea, but I like the final list I came up with as it gives a nice range of the animals featured in stories. What animals from books would you choose? Feel free to list them in the comments or, if you have a blog, I will most likely check out your lists! Happy Tuesday!

Ooo wonderful choices! I loved the dogs in Jimenez’s books! So cute!! Also I love that you chose the dragons in Fireborne 😍
