I think my most surprising read from last Wednesday until now has been Flamefall as I did not particularly care for Fireborne. The first novel was good and there were tons of elements that were very well done (hence the decent rating), but I was not going into the second novel with high expectations. Now, I am very anxious to read the next novel and see what happens!
I completed seven audiobooks (two of which were super short novellas) and six ARC reads, bringing my grand total to 13! Additionally, I fulfilled my goal for myself and completed The Folk of the Air series. There were flaws, of course, as no series/novel is perfect, but it was one a fantastic reading experience! My two current reads include two ARCs and my final Tricia Levenseller novel before her new series comes out.
As April comes to a close on Friday, I am trying to put together my last minute thoughts for my monthly wrap-up and start to think about what I will be reading in May. I have a lot of blog tours scheduled in the second half of May, so I may get started on some of those first. Most of them are ebooks, which make reading ahead a little easier, as at least one of my physical ARCs (Ariadne) has not arrived at my house yet. Aside from my blog tours, I still have my other ARCs that I am working through and I hope to get to a point where I can start requesting more and not become overwhelmed. We shall see how it works out, but for now my May TBR is very much up in the air. Happy Wednesday and Happy Reading!
