What do you think you’ll read next?

Although I am still in a more reading-centric mood since the start of April, I am slowing down a little just to prevent any future burnout. I started the Betwixt and Between series and need to wait for the third to be released on audiobook. It is out already in ebook/paperback, but I want to try and remain consistent with the series. My current series is All the Stars and Teeth duology that I’ve been meaning to get around to reading. It is not bad so far, but it is not as amazing as I expected. Even if book one does not turn out, I plan to continue to book two.

The majority of my finished reads were ARCs with four audiobooks. They were an interesting mix of novels with my favorite being The Runaway Bride. I absolutely loved a lot of my other reads, but this one stood out as it both gave me an expected and unexpected story as it delivered on what is promised in the synopsis, but also weaved in some twists. I think I found a new author to love based on this novel, but I’ll have to try out her other books before I officially add her to as a potential favorite. I’ve just started Life’s a Beach and it reminded me why I love Portia Macintosh novels as there is a certain humor that she gives to the novels, although I only have Faking It as a comparison for now.

Aside from finishing the All the Stars and Teeth duology, I am thinking I want to give The Midnight Library a try as I’ve heard great reviews from it. I am not sure what else I will read next, but I do have a long list of ARCs that I should get to within the next few weeks. I also have a lot of blog tours that will happen at the end of May, so I might start on some of them. I’m not sure which direction I want to go within the next week, so I will have to just wing it and just go with whatever I pick up. Happy Wednesday and Happy Reading!
