#BookBloggerHop: My Book Character

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

Topic Run Dates: May 14th – 20th, 2021

What book character do you think you are most like and why?(submitted by Julie @ JadeSky)

I read tons of novels and can see bits and pieces of myself in tons of different characters from every genre. However, I could not come up with a single central character that I think that I am most like. Therefore, I googled quizzes and took the first one I found.

From the quiz, my result said that I am most like Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. There is actually a list of ten traits that was created by Screen Rant, which they determined to be positive and negative traits. When I read it, I actually found that I have all traits in one way or another.

The traits are: determined, perfectionist, impatient, loyal, compassionate, opinionated, blunt, hardworking, smart, and skeptical. Some of these are situational as I am not a perfectionist in everything, but I am in certain situations, like my work projects.

Another character that I was matched with was Sherlock Holmes. As Hermione and Sherlock share some traits, I am not surprised that I got both at one time or another.

How about you? What book character do you think you are most like?

  1. Aw, Hermione and Sherlock – this is so sweet! I would love to believe I resemble Sherlock in a way b/c he’s one of my favorite characters since childhood, but I think we all want to resemble our favorite characters, and maybe at some point we learn from them and become more like them. I like the idea!

  2. I felt exactly the same, though Hermione did remind me of my school girl self. Of course I need to go and do the same quiz so that I can update my answer!
