Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
How it works: Each Tuesday will be assigned a topic and then you post your top ten list that fits it. Feel free to add your own spin on the topic to make it work for you! For me, I’m not sure the type of spin I want to put on it, so for now I’ll post fairly straight-forward responses.
I put this month’s topics at the bottom of the post, but you can find the whole list on the host blog. If you don’t have a blog, you’re welcome to participate using other social media or even by putting your list in the comments.
This Week’s Topic: Book Quotes that Fit X Theme (Pick any theme you want, i.e., motivational quotes, romantic dialogues, hunger-inducing quotes, quotes that fill you with hope, quotes on defeating adversity, quotes that present strong emotions, healing, etc. and then select quotes from books that fit that theme.)
**You can select the cover of each novel to access their entry on Goodreads.**
“This above all: To thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.”

“You don’t have to live forever, you just have to live.“
MAY TOPICS:
- May 4:
My Ten Most Recent Reads (maybe share a one-sentence review to go with?) - May 11:
Books with Nature on the Cover (flowers, trees, landscapes, animals, etc.) - May 18:
Book Titles That Are Complete Sentences (Submitted by Jessica @ A Cocoon of Books) - May 25:
Book Quotes that Fit X Theme (Pick any theme you want, i.e., motivational quotes, romantic dialogues, hunger-inducing quotes, quotes that fill you with hope, quotes on defeating adversity, quotes that present strong emotions, healing, etc. and then select quotes from books that fit that theme.)
Happy fourth and final Tuesday post of May! I did not actually pick a theme for this week’s topic and instead just went with ten quotes from books that I enjoyed. There are a lot more quotes that stand out in my mind, but these are the first ten that I typed out as I was putting this post together. What book quotes do you like? You’re welcome to post them in the comments or even give a link to your list as I would love to read them! Happy Tuesday!

Beautiful quotes ❤️
