#BookBloggerHop: Favorite Characters

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

Question

Who is your favorite character…of all the books you’ve read? Why? (submitted by Julie @ JadeSky)

Answer

I am not sure if I have an absolute favorite character. I have tons of characters that I love that if you put them all together they would make my ideal one, but I am not sure I can pinpoint just one.

I did a favorite characters post back in February for SixForSunday, so from that list, I would narrow it down to Circe! I still love the other five character’s from the post, but something that I can’t quite pinpoint about Circe stands out the most from the list.

Additionally, I have four other characters that I love as they have some qualities that make them amazing characters, to me. –

The first is Patroclus from The Song of Achilles. I may not agree with him for the entire story, but I felt connected with him and wanted him to find happiness.

Next, it is Chauncy from The House in the Cerulean Sea. I love all the characters in this story, but Chauncy stood out to me. not have a budget set for books.

Alosa stood out to me a lot in The Daughter of the Pirate King duology where she was both tough and vulnerable at the same time. Riden came close as I loved his support of Alosa.

Finally, although Carden was amazing, I absolutely love Jude’s resourcefulness. She is placed in the land of the fae and works through different plans for her best survival and happiness.

There are a lot more characters that I loved, but, again, it was difficult to try and narrow down a favorite. Even in this post, I could not narrow it down to a single character to feature.
