~ Weekly Wrap-Up: Week 21 ~

Welcome to this week’s Weekly Wrap-up. For these posts, I will recap my reviews and other posts from the past week and highlight any books that were published within the last week (if any). In addition, to recapping my week, these posts also serve the purpose of helping me to figure out where I am for my progress on different books/posts and to help plan out the next week.

I cannot believe that this is the last Weekly Wrap-up for May! I still have a lot of books that I want to fit in, but I am not sure what I can accomplish in only a few days as I have other responsibilities, such as yard work that should take priority. Additionally, I need to start putting together all my past May reads to create my monthly wrap-up. I love doing those posts as I can see exactly what I read and how I rated them. It’ll be nice to see at the end of the year which novels were my top reads.

While Realm Breaker was good, it was a little disappointing compared to my expectations. However, Blade of Secrets exceeded my expectations, especially with its inclusion of a main character with anxiety. Both were great starts to their series and I cannot believe it will be a year before I can read the sequels to both. Call of the Syrensea was a good follow-up to Call of the Storm Sorcerer, but I am not sure if I will continue the Serpentine Throne series yet. I think The Immortal Game would be my favorite read from the nine I read last week as I love mythology and it was an entertaining story with good characters. I hope the authors write more stories like it in the future.

That’s it for what I read last week. I will have to see which novels, if any, I finish this weekend before May ends before June begins. I hope everyone had a great reading/blogging week and enjoys the rest of their weekend!
