Last week I started two different series, The Red Queen and The Poppy War. After finishing the first audiobook for The Poppy War, I immediately started the second and third. That entire series is an emotional roller coaster as there is a lot going on at all times. The ending was extremely satisfying and I would definitely recommend it to others and I have added it to my re-read list.
I has a few other audiobooks that needed to be returned to the library first, so I put a temporary hold on The Red Queen series until next week. I meant to request both Of Silver and Shadows and The Infinity Courts as ARCs, but I never got around to it. When I saw them on audio, I decided to finally give them a try. Anxious People was a book that it seemed almost everyone was reading before, so I completed that one on audiobook. My other audiobook is Queens of Fennbirn, which is a combination of the two prequel novellas for the Three Dark Crowns series. Similar to The Red Queen series, it is one that I have heard mixed reviews, but has been on my TBR for a LONG time. My final audiobook, The Housewives, was a random fun one that my friends and I listened to on a whim (the review can be found below).
I received The Court of Secrets novel and decided to read all three in order. This was an amazing series with fantastic progression as the story and characters build a lot from book one to book three. I am extremely excited that there will be a sequel/spin off novella for one of the characters that the author will announce and release later this year (If you have read the series, you can probably guess which character it is as they are not present at in the epilogue.)
My last two ARCs were An Acquired Taste and The Lucky Escape, which were nice contemporary romance stories. My final novel is The Lost Queen as I received an ARC for the second novel, that just re-released, The Forgotten Kingdom.
My current read is The Forgotten Kingdom and then I believe I will start Crownless, which I will post for my stop on the book blog tour next Wednesday. My audiobook plan, at the moment, is to complete the next novel in The Red Queen series.
As a blog update, I temporarily stopped doing the WWW Wednesday book meme as it became too similar to these wrap-ups that are only a few days apart. I am not sure if I will restart it in the future or if I will replace it with another meme, but, for now, Wednesdays will be for book reviews or other posts.

~ Mini Review ~
This novel was written and narrated by Bryan Moylan. The story addresses how the Housewives series came to be all the way back in 2006. It then goes through how the franchises were born, the people that became involved on screen and off, and, of course, the huge and dedicated fan base. A few of my friends and I “watch party” (different locations, but all watching together over the web) some of the franchises, especially during the pandemic lockdowns. Even though it is not the best series, it does provide some excellent escapism and entertainment. While the beginning of this novel starts off great, it begins to feel like a podcast where you can tell the author wanted to include more, but he was unable to connect with proper sources due to one circumstance or another. Therefore, it just felt like filler just to make this into a complete book. The audiobook for this is worth it if you are a fan of the different franchises, for myself and my friends, we have only watched New York and Beverly Hills, but I know others that love the other locations.
