Last week I finally got back around to working on the Goddess War series and finished the second novel, Mortal Gods. I picked up Storm and Fury, the first novel in the Harbinger series, but then I realized that the series is set in the same world and features some of the same characters as The Dark Elements series. Therefore, I decided to backtrack and try out the earlier series first. I finished both novels one, White Hot Kiss, and two, Stone Cold Touch. I plan to, hopefully, get to the third novel, Every Last Breath, next week. My last audiobook for the week was one of my backlogs titles, The Duke Undone.
Additionally to my four audiobooks, I completed two blog tour novels and three ARCs. My blog tour books were a mixed bag as one was an excellent surprise, In the Beast’s Cage, and the other was a disappointment, but had a ton of potential, Twice in a Lifetime. Two of my ARCs, Outrageous and What We Devour, were not perfect, but I loved reading them! My surprise hit was The Ice Swan as not only was it an excellent mood read, but I was satisfied overall with the characters and story.
I am not sure the other novels that I want to try to get to next week aside from finishing both the Goddess War and The Dark Elements series. Additionally, I have three blog tour review posts next week: A Summer Wedding For The Cornish Midwife (July 5th), Elle’s A to Z of Love (July 6th), Angel of the Lost Treasure (July 7th), and Vicki’s Work of Heart (July 9th). I might fit one more book in somewhere, but that will depend on my mood and how fast I read the other books. Lately, I have been very captivated by some books and end up reading them in a single sitting when I planned on reading them in multiple.
