~ Top Ten Tuesday: Book Crushes ~

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

How it works: Each Tuesday will be assigned a topic and then you post your top ten list that fits it. Feel free to add your own spin on the topic to make it work for you! For me, I’m not sure the type of spin I want to put on it, so for now I’ll post fairly straight-forward responses.

I put this month’s topics at the bottom of the post, but you can find the whole list on the host blog. If you don’t have a blog, you’re welcome to participate using other social media or even by putting your list in the comments.

This Week’s Topic: Fictional Crushes

This list would feel incomplete without Mr. Darcy (although Mr. Bingley was great, too).

Either Mr. Knightly works as each are great in their own way.

Aragorn is another “classic” choice for this list.

Another “classic” choice is Jamie.

Matthew not only is a great character, but he has the added bonus that he owns a book store.

Adrian from Life’s Too Short is excellent, plus he comes with a fun dog.

I had it between Cardan (Folk of the Air) and Prince Maxon and the latter just appealed to me a little more.

Another choice came to Prince Elian (To Kill a Kingdom) and Riden. Both are pirates and have excellent banter, but Riden won out.

One more choice was between Brendon and Easton (Enjoy the View). Brendon offers a little more classic romance, so I decided to include him.

Another novel with two great choices as Cedric and Blaise both are great. For this choice, I could not decide between them.

AUGUST TOPICS:

Happy fifth and final Tuesday post of August! I greatly appreciate that you took the time to read this post!

While I do not have a full book crush on any character, there are tons and tons characters that have characteristics that would appeal to me in reality. If I took every single favorite character together, then I would probably come up with my ideal other half. There are some similarities, whether it is a caring nature, love of animals, or witty humor, that all exist in my boyfriend, so at least I am part of the way there to making fiction become a reality (haha).

How about you? Which characters are your fictional crushes? You’re welcome to post them in the comments or even give a link to your list as I would love to read them! Happy Tuesday!

    1. I feel like the list would be incomplete without Mr. Darcy (haha)! I hope you love Life’s Too Short! I love all the characters from the three novels in the series, but something I can’t quite put my finger on puts him slightly above the rest. ❤
