Last Year I Was Reading is hosted by Maria @ ReadingMaria. Every Thursday (or whichever day you choose), take your current read and compare it to what you were reading this exact time last year.
- Which one do you like better?
- What is different about the books?
- Any special facts/things you want to make note of or bring attention to?

Last year, I did not read/review anything exactly on September 2nd. I did read/review One Winter’s Night (Kelsey Anderson #2) on September 1st.

Today, I read and reviewed two novels, Love on Location, which is for a book blog tour, and Miss Lattimore’s Letter, which is from my backlog.

All three novels include romance stories where One Winter’s Night is a part of a series and Miss Lattimore’s Letter and Love on Location are standalones. Lattimore is a historical read whereas the other two novels are contemporary. All of them take place mostly in the UK. While Winter’s Night and Lattimore stay fairly in one location (or at least the same country), Love on Location travels from the UK to Greece.
All the main characters are in their mid- to late-twenties and early thirties where they each go through their own obstacles in their stories. All the characters go through a lot of character growth and their roads to romance are not simple.
For choosing one novel as a favorite, all of them are excellent reads. I would re-read all three novels as they all over great romance and character growth stories set in gorgeous locations. I think, if I forced myself to choose, I would select One Winter’s Night mostly because the winter setting just draws me in a little more than the warm or temperate settings of the other novels.
Have you read any of these books? What did you think? What book were you reading this time last year and how does it compare to your current read?
