~ #BookBloggerHop: Bookmarks ~

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

Question

What do you use for a bookmark? A real one or something else? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews

Answer

Since the majority of my novels are on my Kindle, I do not actually use a bookmark for those. My Kindle saves my spot in each novel, even if I have 100 that I am clicking between. I also listen to a ton of audiobooks, which is a similar situation where the file saves my place for me no matter the number I have open.

Now for the actual paperbacks/hardcovers that I read, I use a variety of different bookmarks. While I try to use actual bookmarks, there are times where I forget to have one around, especially if I am reading outside, and I end up using whatever is around. I have used napkins, ribbons, random paper, and many other objects that are near me at the time. I do actually have a bookmark collection forming that I am trying to be better at using. Almost all of these bookmarks were included with ARC novels that I received either together with the novel or I was given it before or after.

All in all, I am to use a real bookmark, but it usually ends up being anything that I have around me while reading.

[Excuse the poor photo of my most recent bookmark I received from an author.]

How about you? What do you use for a bookmark?
