~ Weekly Wrap-Up: Week 40 ~

For this week, I managed to read and review eight novels.

To start, I read Wings of Fury before moving on to my ARC for Crown of Cinders. This was a very unique and interesting take on the rise of the Olympian gods with all the familiar beings present from the mythology.

My two standalone ARCs were My Best Friends Wedding and The Party Crasher. While the first novel was not entirely for me due to the ending, the latter was an excellent and humorous novel that took a simple concept and created a complex story. Sophie Kinsella is a comfort read author for me, so I was thrilled that I continued to enjoy her works.

After finishing An Enchantment of Ravens, I completed the audiobook for Sorcery of Thorns before I moved on to my ARC of the author’s newest novel, Vespertine. My favorite of the three was Sorcery of Thorns, but I still greatly enjoyed the other two novels and look forward to reading the sequel for Vespertine.

Annie’s Autumn Escape is my second novel by the author and I love how she utilizes characters of all ages and creates heartwarming stories filled with self-discovery, friendships, and romance. My other blog tour novel was The Cosy Cottage in Ireland, which is the second novel I have read from this series, even though it is the eighth. I love that each novel transports the reader to new locations and contains lovable characters. I look forward to reading more from both of these authors.

For next week, my plan is to read Duke, Actually, which is a “sequel/companion novel” to A Princess for Christmas. The characters from the previous novel, I believe make an appearance, but I have been told by others that read both novels that they can be read as standalones. My audiobook goal is to complete all three novels from The Broken Earth trilogy as multiple people have recommended all three novels to me. Aside from those four novels, I am not sure about other possible reads, but I will go with my mood and figure it out from there.
