The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. Would you ever consider dressing up as a book character? If so, which one? (submitted by Julie @ JadeSky)
Answer
To answer the proposed topic simply, yes, I would absolutely dress up as a character from a book.
I tried to actually look for ones that I have done in the past, but I could not find them on my computer (most likely they are on an external hard drive somewhere).
While I have not done a lot from novels, I have done multiple from comics or manga (and sometimes their associated animes or shows). One example of this is Avatar: the Last Airbender.
For this dress up, it was actually a group of people where we did almost all the characters from the show. Since there are companion novels and graphic novels that tie together with this show, I included it in my example for this post. I have actually done this series twice. The first time I dressed up as Mai and the second time I was Appa.
All in all, as I get older, I might not dress up a lot on my own (even for parties or Halloween), but I am very open to a group situation where all of us dress up together and it would be fantastic to do some from books!

Avatar would be my first choice for this (I think I could pull off Azula if I master that aura of MENACE she gives off lol). Otherwise, I’d have to go with a period piece like Pride and Prejudice because I love those dresses 😋
