FairyLoot Unboxing: August 2021

Almost done catching up! My August box is the fourth one that I received.

FROM FAIRYLOOT:

We are so excited to reveal the August theme for our monthly box and it is… LOVESTRUCK!

Romances that pull on your heartstrings are the best kind, whether it wrecks you or completes you! This theme is inspired by characters that fall in love without expecting to, which can lead to wholesome… or sometimes angsty entanglements.

In this box you can expect items inspired by Cemetary Boys, Caraval, These Violent Delights and A River of Royal Blood. We are thrilled to reveal that this box will have TWO books! The second book is a paperback with an EXCLUSIVE COVER, SPRAYED EDGES and a DIGITAL SIGNATURE. We won’t be revealing the title of this amazing book but we will give you this hint: reaper romance!

Our featured book of the month is a sexy, action-packed fantasy about a girl who is caught between two treacherous faerie courts. The FairyLoot exclusive edition will have an EXCLUSIVE COVER, STENCIL & SPRAYED EDGES, ARTWORK ON THE REVERSE OF THE DUST JACKET by @sashac_art, FOIL EMBOSSING ON THE CASE by @sashac_art and will be SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. It is gorgeous!

Spots for new subscriptions are currently CLOSED, but you can sign up to the waiting list here. The best way to get a subscription at the moment is to sign up to the waiting list – we invite people whenever more spots become available.

Book of the Month: These Hollow Vows (#1) by Lexi Ryan

Brie hates the Fae and refuses to have anything to do with them, even if that means starving on the street. But when her sister is sold to the sadistic king of the Unseelie court to pay a debt, she’ll do whatever it takes to get her back—including making a deal with the king himself to steal three magical relics from the Seelie court.

Gaining unfettered access to the Seelie court is easier said than done. Brie’s only choice is to pose as a potential bride for Prince Ronan, and she soon finds herself falling for him. Unwilling to let her heart distract her, she accepts help from a band of Unseelie misfits with their own secret agenda. As Brie spends time with their mysterious leader, Finn, she struggles to resist his seductive charm.

Caught between two dangerous courts, Brie must decide who to trust with her loyalty. And with her heart.

This FairyLoot exclusive edition has an exclusive cover (below-left), stencil and sprayed edges (below-center), artwork on the reverse of the dust jacket (above) by @sashac_art, and is signed by the author.

While I actually completed this novel via audiobook, I loved the story and I am excited to have a gorgeous hardcopy to reread in the future!

The only novel/series that I have completed from the collectibles is Cemetery Boys. I am currently working on the Caraval series and will eventually get to These Violent Delights. Similar to the last box (July), I have already completed the novel via audiobook.

For those that do not know as much about Fairy Loot, it is a monthly fantasy book subscription box.

You can visit Fairy Loot to find out more.

As I am far behind in my unboxings, below is the theme for the next one set to arrive (November), rather than the next Unboxing month (September). Once I catch-up on these unboxings, then the months will start to line up.

If you want a potential book spoiler, then this is the novel going around online as the November novel.

FROM FAIRYLOOT:

We are so excited to reveal the November theme for our monthly box and it is… VENGEANCE IS YOURS!

An eye for an eye will leave the whole world blind . . . but sometimes the best revenge is getting even. This theme is all about the sweetness of revenge and characters who will get it by blade, or by wit.

In this box you can expect items inspired by Vicious, From Blood and Ash, The Poppy War, Rage of Dragons and our featured book of the month. We are thrilled to reveal that this box will include a TRAVEL MUG!

Our featured book of the month is inspired by Chinese mythology, and two people who discover their intertwined destinies. It is filled with revenge, rich magic and an epic slow-burn romance! This FairyLoot exclusive edition will have an EXCLUSIVE COVER, STENCIL SPRAYED EDGES, ARTWORK ON THE REVERSE OF THE DUST JACKET by @jhocaaa, FOIL ON THE HARDCOVER by @jhocaaa and will be SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR.

Spots for new subscriptions are currently CLOSED, but you can sign up to the waiting list here. The best way to get a subscription at the moment is to sign up to the waiting list – we invite people whenever more spots become available.
