Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
How it works: Each Tuesday will be assigned a topic and then you post your top ten list that fits it. Feel free to add your own spin on the topic to make it work for you! For me, I’m not sure the type of spin I want to put on it, so for now I’ll post fairly straight-forward responses.
I put this month’s topics at the bottom of the post, but you can find the whole list on the host blog. If you don’t have a blog, you’re welcome to participate using other social media or even by putting your list in the comments.
This Week’s Topic: Memorable Things Characters Have Said (quotes from book characters that have stuck with you)
I believe there are far more possibilities than happily ever after or tragedy. Every story has the potential for infinite endings.
NOVEMBER TOPICS:
- November 2:
Books I Would Hand to Someone Who Claims to Not Like Reading - November 9:
Memorable Things Characters Have Said (quotes from book characters that have stuck with you) - November 16: Books to Read If You Love/Loved X (X can be a genre, specific book, author, movie/TV show, etc.)
- November 23: Characters I’d Love An Update On (Where are they now that the book is over?)
- November 30: Bookish Memories (Share stories of your reading life as a child, events you’ve gone to, books that made an impression on you, noteworthy experiences with books, authors you’ve met, etc. Reminisce with me!)
Happy second Tuesday for November!
For this week’s post, I actually had some difficulty remembering any great quotes from books. Therefore, I chose ten novels that I greatly enjoyed and did a random search on my Kindle for any quotes that stood out. I am sure there are other quotes that I love, but these are the ones that stood out to me in each.
How about you? Which quotes stuck with you?

So many great quotes!
