For this week, I managed to read and review five novels.
As the final round for the Goodreads Choice Awards ends on December 5th, I decided to post my final votes in each category. There are a few categories where I did not cast a vote as I could not decide between some of them.
Another series of posts that I started was the Bookvent countdown to Christmas. Since I started my posts on December 2, instead of the 1st, my countdown will only have 24 books compared to a full 25. While the original blogger posts her top five-star reads, I decided to highlight my 4.5 reads. At the end of the year I typically countdown my top reads, so this way I can get two countdowns done this month and have the chance to showcase more novels that I loved.
As for reading, most of my novels were for the 20 Books for Christmas Reading Challenge. These novels were: The Matzah Ball, The Winter We Met, Falling Under the Mistletoe, and Jingle Wars. Falling Under the Mistletoe was the newest release and the other three were either published prior in 2021 or in the previous year(s).
My other novel was the audiobook for Well Met, which is the first novel in the series of the same name. All of the novels surround a Renaissance Faire in Willow Creek, Maryland and each story features a new couple as the center focus.
Now that it is officially December, I am trying to find some balance between some December/January ARCs and the remaining novels for my reading challenge. Outside of the reading world, I am continuing to work on my house and also just relaxing to recharge at the end of the week. I have most of my presents bought for the family for Christmas, but I still have a few Secret Santa ones for my friend group and workgroup to still get.
