Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
How it works: Each Tuesday will be assigned a topic and then you post your top ten list that fits it. Feel free to add your own spin on the topic to make it work for you! For me, I’m not sure the type of spin I want to put on it, so for now I’ll post fairly straight-forward responses.
I put this month’s topics at the bottom of the post, but you can find the whole list on the host blog. If you don’t have a blog, you’re welcome to participate using other social media or even by putting your list in the comments.
This Week’s Topic: Freebie
As I just completed my 10th read (review to come) for the 20 Books for Christmas Reading Challenge, I decided to use the Freebie topic to not only update on my progress, but to highlight the ones that I have read/reviewed. These reads are wintery/Christmas/holiday themed.
DECEMBER TOPICS:
- December 7:
Freebie - December 14: Books on My Winter 2021 To-read List (or summer if you’re in the southern hemisphere)
- December 21: Books I Hope Santa Brings/Bookish Wishes (This was so popular when I did it in June that we’re doing it again for the holidays! List the top 10 books you’d love to own and include a link to your wishlist so that Santa can grant your wish. Make sure you link your wishlist to your mailing address [here’s how to do it on Amazon] or include the email address associated with your ereader in the list description so people know how to get the book to you. After you post, jump around the Linky and grant a wish or two if you’d like. You can make your identity known or be someone’s secret Santa! Please don’t feel obligated to send anything to anyone! If you would rather not include your wish list, just share the books you hope you find under your tree on Christmas morning.)
- December 28: Best Books I Read In 2021
Happy first Tuesday in December!
For this week’s post, as said above, I decided to use the Freebie topic as an update for my Reading Challenge progress. Originally, I was going to choose another topic with some type of magic or winter theme, but I happened to finish my 10th read for the challenge last night and decided to redo the post. Although you can read, 10, 15, or 20 books for the challenge, I decided to aim for 20, although if I only end up with 10, then I will still be happy.
How about you? How did you interpret this week’s topic? (Freebie weeks are always fun to see what each person comes up with as there are endless possibilities!)

These books look so cute! You’re smashing this challenge!
