~ Weekly Wrap-Up: Week 49 ~

For this week, I managed to read and review three novellas.

In the anthology, A Snowy Little Christmas, there are three novellas: Starry Night by Fern Michaels, Mistletoe and Mimosas by Tara Sheets, and Missing Christmas by Kate Clayborn. I actually forgot I had this audiobook in my library loans, so I read Missing Christmas first as I chose it as one of my reads for my Christmas/winter reading challenge. Since I finished the book version, I only listened to the other two novellas in the audiobook, and why I decided to separate out their reviews and count them as multiple reads.

Now that the Goodreads Choice Award winners have been announced, I will put together a post to compare my guesses and votes with the actual winners. I am pretty sure a lot of the novels that I voted for didn’t win, but I am curious about how many of my predicted winners actually won in their respective categories.

This week I also continued my Bookvent countdowns with Days Four through Ten. While I love to share some of these novels with those that read my blog, I also love doing it for myself as a great reminder of some of the stories that I have enjoyed so far. Since this countdown includes reads that I gave a 4.5 out of 5 in my reviews, I need to start putting together my other top reads for an end-of-the-year countdown like I did last year.

This weekend I hope to finish Heart of a Witch as I am falling a little behind on my reading. Life and work keep me very busy this month, so I end up falling asleep around 9/10 at night which is when I usually start my daily reading haha. As this story is really good, I want to stay up to read it, but, unfortunately, sleep keeps winning. I am not sure about any other novels I will be able to get to this next week, so I will have to just select some at random.

  1. Getting through 3 novellas is good going. I am falling behind a little on my reading too and am having to stay up later which is a bit annoying as I love my sleep! I found that the books that I voted for in the Goodreads awards didn’t win (except A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J Maas) and often think that I have different tastes in books to the rest of the world!
