~ #BookBloggerHop: Number of Books Read in 2021 ~

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

Question

How many books have you read this year? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews

Answer

According to Goodreads, I pledged to read 350 books in 2021. Right now my count is 404 novels/novellas. I have read a few that I did not review on Goodreads, so that count is a little higher.

Below are my first novels for each month (This is according to Goodreads as I sometimes read multiple books for the first/second day of the month):

January

February

March
[Review]
April

May

June

July

August

September

October

November

December

As 2021 is not over yet, I still have multiple novels that I would love to read before the end of the year. I am not sure how many more I will be able to finish as my reading as slowed down greatly recently. I want to read a few more winter/Christmas/holiday-type reads as I not only would love to finish my reading challenge, but they are nice easy reads to put me in the holiday spirit. My other goal is to, at least, complete my last 2021 ARC, It Happened One Midnight, before I begin my 2022 ARCs/blog tour novels.

How about you? How many books have you read this year?

  1. I’ve read around 150 – I do a lot of beta reading so it’s hard to be totally accurate. I used to read over 300 books a year but have massively slowed down over the last year and just can’t seem to read at the same pace anymore.
