This annual countdown goes from December 1st until Christmas with one share per day. In the original challenge, the “rules” were (1)published in 2021 and (2)five-star read with “Red Hot Reads” titles automatically making the list. I kept the 2021 publish year “rule” as I have a lot of recent releases that were amazing. Since I already do my top novels of the year (5 star and sometimes 4.75 stars), I decided to highlight some of my 4.5 star reads as they are still amazing, but often get passed over in my countdowns. The choices are in a semi-random order with some novels that I enjoyed a little more making it a little higher in the countdown.

The four novels in this Soul Mates in Romeo series were released in 2021: Chasing Romeo (#1), Love Not at First Sight (#2), Romance by the Book (#3), and Love, Artifacts, and You (#4). I love every book in this series as it is amazing how each one is unique. The first novel features a “scavenger hunt” type story, the second is survival in a cave, the third is a romance checklist, and the fourth is a danger-filled archeology adventure. While each novel features a sweet romance story where each character goes through their own growth/development, I also love the additional elements that make the stories special. The second installment has the two characters in a cave setting where they not only experience the forced proximity trope but there are multiple perils that they must face to survive. I am not sure if there will be a fifth addition to the series, but I will definitely read it if one ends up being published!
