~ #BookBloggerHop: Favorite Holiday Book to Movie Adaptions ~

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

Topic Run Dates: December 24th – 30th, 2021

Question

What’s your favorite Christmas book-to-movie adaptation? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer

Answer

Movie – Released on November 18, 1983
Book – Published January 1, 1983
Movie – Released on July 20, 1988
Book – Published in 1979

There are hundreds of book-to-movie adaptions that are considered Christmas movies, so I chose two random ones that I usually end up watching around December either through my movie collection or randomly on tv.

It was difficult to choose from the extensive amount of movies and books to choose from as there are classics that have multiple adaptations, such as A Christmas Carol. I decided to go with Die Hard and A Christmas Story as both were recent discoveries that they were books. Both have been republished multiple times with various editions after the movies were released, so even on Goodreads, there are not many listed for the originals.

How about you? What are your favorite Christmas book to movie adaptions?
