~ My Other Posts ~

Today I started one of my February TBR Knockout novels, Fierce Fairytales, so I am hoping to finish it before tomorrow. I am also working on completing the ARC for Meet Me in the Margins before I move on to my other novels.

Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating was my most surprising read as I did not connect with it even though I enjoy the authors’ writing styles. It was not a bad read, but it just had a huge emphasis on telling and showing which is a lot to thrust upon a reader in a short novel. I enjoyed it more than The Honey-Don’t List, but there are still a few others that rank higher. I also cannot wait to read their newest release, Something Wilder.

Ashes of Gold, the sequel to Wings of Ebony, was a great read and a fantastic end to the duology. On Location was another mixed feeling novel along with Love, Chai, and Other Four Words as both had some amazing elements together with some elements that I did not fully enjoy. Love Lessons in Starcross Valley was an interesting read as it did not have the usual start for the type of story and I found it to be a great read. My final novel was Gilded, which I am on the fence about, but I will reserve my full judgement until the next novel is released. There are some elements that may read differently when you read the two stories back to back, so I will need to read the sequel before I more or less finalize my feelings on this one.

Aside from the two novels listed above, I am not sure what else I want to add to my immediate TBR. I have millions of backlist titles and other ARCs that are options, but some of the selections are ones that I need to be in the mood before I begin. As it is a “holiday” weekend in the United States with the Super Bowl, I am not sure how much reading I’ll be able to get done. I am not much of a football fan, but my household is and I like just hanging out with all the great snacks, so that will most likely be this weekend’s priority. Hopefully, I will be able to fit some more reading in during the week, but I will have to just wait and see.

Happy Reading! Thank you for reading my wrap-up!

    1. Gilded was an enjoyable and unique take on Rumpelstiltskin. As the sequel comes out later this year, I will have to wait and see how it all comes together. I hope you enjoy it when/if you read it! 😀
