I am excited that I started the Throne of Glass series. I just started the audiobook for the third novel, but I am not sure when I will be able to finish it yet. It is a very interesting series so far and I am interested to not only see how the plot develops, but also how it grows outside of the love triangle. My other audiobook was the first novel in the Marriage Game series. It was a cute and sweet story, so I am looking forward to learning more about the couples featured in the next two stories.
As I completed the Little Bridge Island series, it was interesting to note that the cover for the third one looks nothing like either cover for each of its predecessors. Even though No Judgments and No Offense each have a tropical version of their cover, the couple on the front are silhouettes versus No Words, which show the actual couple. For me it makes me wonder if the book is trying to stand out in some way, although I am not sure why as each novel is liked about the same according to Goodreads. For me, No Words was the best in the series, so it was nice to end the series on a high note.
Married by Sunday was the fifth novel in the Soul Mates in Romeo series. While this series may not be for everyone, there is something I cannot pinpoint in the writing that makes me love every story in the series and I hope there are more to come in the future. Hollywood Games was a very fun direct sequel to Highland Games and it was nice to read a continuation of the first novel as not many romances feature the same couple two novels in a row. The Date from Hell was another direct sequel that features the same main couple. This series is full of fun adventures as the first novel focused on the apocolypse and the second was about finding the Holy Grail. As for my final ARC, The Wedding Crasher was a very heartwarming romance and it was nice to see glimpses of the couple (Lina and Max) from the author’s other novel, The Worst Best Man.
For next week, my reading plan includes The Wedding Season and The Meet Cute Method. I am currently a quarter of the way through the first novel and I hope to finish it over the weekend before attempting the second. As I plan to continue to listen to the first few novels of the Throne of Glass series, I am not sure if I will do the whole series on audio or if I will do a mix. I do have a few other romance audiobooks that I like to listen to in background while working, but I am not sure of the particular titles yet. Hopefully, I can semi-stick to these reading goals, but I will have to see my reading mood and time availability.
Happy Reading! Thank you for reading my wrap-up!
