Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
How it works: Each Tuesday will be assigned a topic and then you post your top ten list that fits it. Feel free to add your own spin on the topic to make it work for you! For me, I’m not sure the type of spin I want to put on it, so for now I’ll post fairly straight-forward responses.
I put this month’s topics at the bottom of the post, but you can find the whole list on the host blog. If you don’t have a blog, you’re welcome to participate using other social media or even by putting your list in the comments.
This Week’s Topic: Books I Was SO EXCITED to Get, but Still Haven’t Read (bonus points if you tell us how long it’s been since you got them!)
MAY TOPICS:
May 3: One-Word Reviews for the Last Ten Books I Read (submitted by Susan @ Bloggin’ ’bout Books)May 10: Bookish Characters (these could be readers, writers, authors, librarians, professors, etc.)- May 17:
Books I Was SO EXCITED to Get, but Still Haven’t Read (bonus points if you tell us how long it’s been since you got them!) - May 24: Book Quote Freebie (Share your favorite book quotes that fit a theme of your choosing! These could be quotes about books/reading, or quotes from books. Some examples are: quotes for book lovers, quotes that prove reading is the best thing ever, funny things characters have said, romantic declarations, pretty scenery descriptions, witty snippets of dialogue, etc.)
- May 31: Comfort Reads (Share which books or kinds of books you turn to when you need to escape. You can either share specific titles if you love to re-read, or you could share qualities of books you look for in a comfort read.)
Happy third Tuesday in May!
I have tons of novels that I still need to read. Since I am not the best at tracking my reads with Goodreads or any other system, I chose the first ten novels that came to my mind. The date added to my TBR is the one where I added them to Goodreads, which may be later than my actual TBR addition date.
How about you? How did you interpret this week’s topic?

I do not know why i didn’t mention this books in my list, it has been on my shelf for a while. As for poisoned I really enjoyed this one but think that stepsister (same author and universe) is more poignant and feminist.
The devil and the dark sea unfortunately did not work out for me. It was too dark and long and boring.
Anyway, happy reading and i hope you’ll enjoy these books!

I recently (finally!) read/reviewed and enjoyed Hamnet. The cover of Gilded Ones is so gorgeous! It’s one of my very favorite recent book covers.

Agree with the cover of the Gilded Ones and its sequel, The Merciless Ones. I can’t wait to read Hamnet as I have it on my hopeful TBR for this month or next. 😀
