~ Top Ten Tuesday: Series I Want to Finish ~

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

How it works: Each Tuesday will be assigned a topic and then you post your top ten list that fits it. Feel free to add your own spin on the topic to make it work for you! For me, I’m not sure the type of spin I want to put on it, so for now I’ll post fairly straight-forward responses.

I put this month’s topics at the bottom of the post, but you can find the whole list on the host blog. If you don’t have a blog, you’re welcome to participate using other social media or even by putting your list in the comments.

This Week’s Topic: Series I’d Like to Start/Catch up on/Finish

Lady Diviner

There are four full-length novels and two novellas, so far in this series. I have read the first two novels and both novellas, but I still need to finish the remaining two novels.

Seven Brides for Seven Mothers

(#2) TBR
(#4) TBR
(#5) TBR
(#6) TBR

With the series title, I am assuming there will eventually be seven novels, but, so far, only six have been annouced. Each novel can be read as a standalone, but they do all have some crossover characters and events. I have read these a little all over the place as I have only read the first and third and still need to complete the rest.

Apollo Ascending

(#2) TBR
(#3) TBR
(#4) TBR

The first novel of this series was pretty captivating, so I need to get back on track and complete the next three in the series.

Bewitching Fairy Tales

(#4) TBR
(#5) TBR
(#6) TBR

Each novel in the series can be read as a standalone with some overlapping characters and events. I love the way the author combines fairy tales in each retelling installment.

World at Lake’s Edge

(#2) TBR

The sequel was released only a few months ago, but it somehow slipped off my radar. While the first one is hit or miss for some readers, I enjoyed it and cannot wait to see how the story concludes.

These Hollow Vows

When the first novel came out I thought it was a trilogy, so I am curious how the concluding novel of the (actual) duology will turn out.

Lady Diviner Series

The first novel in this series was sweet and I loved the second, so I cannot wait to eventually finally complete the final novel.

Cupid’s Fall

(#2) TBR
(#3) TBR
(#4) TBR
(#5) TBR

I am not sure on the final count for the series, but there are five announced, so far. I enjoyed the first one and still need to continue with the rest of the novels.

Practical Magic

(#0.2) TBR
(#1) TBR
(#2) TBR

There are four full-length novels in this series with two prequels and two in the main series, so far. I am very behind with this series as I have only read the first story.

The Laws of Love

I am not sure if there will be more added to the series in the future, but, so far, there are three full-length novels. I completed the first two and still need to read the third.

NOVEMBER TOPICS:

  • November 1: Unlikable Characters You Can’t Help but Love (These are villains, criminals, jerks, etc. that make you fall in love with them anyway, perhaps because they evolve by the end or they’re secretly wonderful and have been all along.)
  • November 8: Series I’d Like to Start/Catch up on/Finish
  • November 15: Favorite “Aww” Moments In Books (Share those sweet/cute moments in books that give you warm fuzzies.)
  • November 22: Thankful Freebie
  • November 29: Cozy Reads (Share books that give off a cozy vibe, whether through the atmosphere, setting, or some other factor. Please tell us why they’re cozy for you, too!)

Happy second Tuesday in November!

I have too many series that I want to start plus tons more that I need to finish. One of my goals with continuing my backlist reading quest is to also complete some of my unfinished series.

How about you? How did you interpret this week’s topic?
