While I signed up for Goodreads in 2020, I did not participate or even know about the Goodreads Choice Awards until 2021. I do read novels from all the categories, but I have three that I tend to read the most, however, I do not always get to the most popular ones. Every one of these novels are on my TBR, but I only have gotten to a few, so far. I did this ranking post last year, so I decided to try it out again this year.
FANTASY – Opening Round Nominees
From the 20 novels in the opening round, I have only read three of them. I am currently reading The Stardust Thief and will begin the Golden Enclaves soon, however, with the busy week of Thanksgiving here in the U.S., I most likely will not finish either before opening round voting ends, so I just went with my current completed reads.
**You can click on each cover to access my full reviews of each novel.**
The Opening Round for these awards goes until November 27th and the final voting round will run from November 29th to December 4th with the final winners announced on December 8th.
Similar to last year, I voted for my favorite based on rating alone. Since I won’t finish additional novels before the deadline, my choice will be based on rating alone among my three completed novels!

While Jennifer Saint’s other novel, Ariadne, was outranked last year on my list of reads by Under the Whispering Door, it was still in my top three. As I love Jennifer Saint’s writing, Elektra seems like a great choice and I would easily re-read this story. I cannot guarantee that it will be my final round vote as I may read others between now and then, but it definitely deserves a top spot in my eyes.
Which novel did you vote for (if you did) or did you enjoy the most?

I really loved Elektra! I voted for Legends and Lattes!
