As the opening round for the Goodreads Choice Awards will close on the 27th, I went through my past reads and realized there are a ton of novels that have been sitting in my library queue and I meant to read them earlier. I doubt I will finish them before the 27th, but I did decide to at least read them at my own pace. I am currently working on three nominees: Part of Your World, Delilah Green Doesn’t Care, and The Stardust Thief.
Along with my Goodreads Awards reading list, I also have my usual backlist TBR plus my Christmas Reading Challenge/Reindeer Readathon lists that I will be working on from now until the end of the year. I have five challenges between now and the end of the year: 20 Books for Christmas, Reindeer Readathon, Audiobook Challenge, TBR Knockout, and Beat the Backlist. Luckily, some novels can double count between the challenges, but most of them will be used for only one. Reading what seems like 100 novels at the same time is my usual pace and I make sure to enjoy each read even if it is faster than some other readers, so I am not rushing my way through the challenges as I am still following my actual speed. The only obstacles are usually my schedule, which is going to be busy thanks to all the holidays, but I still hold out hope that I can finish at least some of my challenges and find some new great reads!
