For February, I completed Bridal Boot Camp for the second prompt (Read a short book – 250 pages or less) and Fierce Fairytales: Poems and Stories to Stir Your Soul for the first prompt (Read a short story collection)
My March selections were As Old as Time (Twisted Tales #3) for the first prompt (Read a book that has some form of shapeshifting). For the other prompt (Read a book that includes magic), I completed Serpent and Dove (Serpent & Dove #1).
My April selections were Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) for the first prompt (Fresh and New: Read a debut novel) and The Dating Plan (Marriage Game #2) for the second prompt (Read a book with flowers on the cover).
For May, I decided to continue to attempt series by Sarah Maas with the ACOTAR series. While the covers vary, I based my choices off the covers I liked best. I completed A Court of Thorns and Roses (#1) for the first prompt (5/7: Read a book with 5-7 words in the title) and A Court of Mist and Fury (#2) to fulfill the second prompt (Emerald: Read a book with green on the cover or spine).
My June picks were Something to Talk About for the first prompt (Read an LGBTQ+ book) and I Wish You All the Best for the second prompt (Read a book with a transgender or nonbinary character).

For July, the theme was “BEACH READS.” My two novels for the month were Out of the Blue for the second prompt (Read a book with water on the cover) and Skin of the Sea (#1) for the first prompt (read a book with a water creature). Since both novels have water on the cover and feature mermaids, I randomly matched them to the prompts.
For August, the theme was “BACK TO SCHOOL.” My first novel was The Ten Thousand Doors of January for the prompt, buddy read a novel. My second was Troy (Stephen Fry’s Great Mythology #3) for the prompt, read a nonfiction.
The theme for September was “FALL.” For the first prompt (Read a book with leaves on the cover), I completed Island Affair (Keys to Love #1). For the second one (Read a book with red, orange, or yellow on the cover), I completed a novel that had all three colors, Wait for It.

For October, the theme was “HALLOWEEN.” My first novel was Black Sun (Between Earth and Sky) for the prompt, Read a book with the word Black in the title, series name, or author’s name . My second novel was The Once and Future Witches for the prompt, Read a paranormal book.
November’s theme was “ROLL BACK THE CLOCKS.” I completed A Witch in Time for the first prompt, read a book with time travel, and All This Time for the second one, read a book with the word time in the title or series name.
November Novel Picks: Winter Street (Winter #1) & The Christmas Bookshop
The theme for December is “MERRY BOOKMAS.” For the first prompt, read a book that you think will make you merry, I selected Winter Street (Winter #1) as Elin Hilderbrand’s work is usually really enjoyable plus is holiday themed. As for the second prompt, read a bookish book (ex. a book within a book, bookish characters, bookish setting, etc.), I chose The Christmas Bookshop.
I can’t believe I am on my final two novels for this challenge! All 22 novels, so far have been enjoyable in some way and I cannot wait for the final two books. These last two choices have been on my TBR for awhile, especially Winter Street.
HAPPY READING!
