~ Series of the Month: (JANUARY) Paradise ~

For this monthly post, I select one series to highlight. The series can either be complete or still in progress. Right now, I am just selecting some enjoyable ones at random, but, eventually, I may have a theme each month.

This month’s series is:

PARADISE

(#1) – Published October 9, 2018
(#2) – Published October 8, 2019
(#3) – Published October 6, 2020

About the Series –

The patriarch Russell Steele dies suddenly on the island of St. John. His widow Irene and sons, Cash and Baker, have to pick up the pieces from this tragedy. The three characters also have a lot going on in each of their lives and when they weave together with all of the characters on the island, it creates a web of complex stories.

Why I Chose This Series –

This is the series that first got me into Elin Hilderbrand. There are a lot of characters in this story that revolves around the Steele family. The story begins with Winter in Paradise where the Steele family first learns about the tragedy of Russell Steele in St. John and travel to the island. This story was nicely set-up as each character was introduced slowly and the mystery of Russell’s death began to unravel. It ends in a cliffhanger that is explored in the sequel, What Happens in Paradise before being concluded in Troubles in Paradise. Not only does this story have interesting twists and turns, I enjoy that the beauty of St. John was explored. The writing makes the reader feel as if they are on the island, which added a fun element to each story.

Have you read the Paradise series or is it on your TBR?

If so, what did you think of the novel(s)?
