~ 2023 Audiobook Challenge – Q1 (January to March) Update ~

Caffeinated Reviewer and That’s What I’m Talking About are hosting the annual Audiobook Challenge for 2023.

Challenge Details

• Runs January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023. You can join at any time.
• The goal is to find a new love for audios or to outdo yourself by listening to more audios in 2023 than you did in 2022.
• Books must be in audio format (CD, MP3, etc.)
• ANY genres count.
• Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed.
• You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, Facebook, etc. I recommend creating a shelf on Goodreads titled 2023 Audiobook Challenge. You can keep track and link the shelf.
• If you’re a blogger grab the button and do a quick post about the challenge to help spread the word. If you’re not a blogger you can help by posting on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Tweet about the challenge.
• Updates plus a giveaway will be posted twice during the year. The first update will be July 2, 2023, and the last update will take place on December 30, 2023. You’ll have one week to link up and share your progress

• The 100 Club (Audiobook Addict) – 100+

I discovered this challenge back in February of 2021 when I first got into audiobooks and this will be my third year participating in the challenge. I am not sure if I will surpass my number from last year, but I hope to continue completing The 100 Club for the third year in a row.

This year I will follow my same updating format where I post four updates throughout the year with each quarter’s progress. I am a little behind on my quarterly posts, I will try to stay on track and post them at the end of the quarter.

As I complete my audiobooks each month, I will fill in the above tracking, and then the final product will be posted at the end of each quarter. Right now I will do my wrap-up again with my final quarter update, but I may change this down the line and do something different. For now, I am excited to try out some new audiobooks!

I am slower than last year as I have completed about half my first quarter total compared to 2022. Since I have a goal still for 100 or more audiobooks, I will have to see how this second quarter goes before deciding if I should reduce my goal. For now, I am pretty satisfied with my listening as I have tried out a few novels that have been sitting on my TBR for awhile and I also got to try some ARCs. I cannot wait to see how this second quarter goes!
