Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
How it works: Each Tuesday will be assigned a topic and then you post your top ten list that fits it. Feel free to add your own spin on the topic to make it work for you! For me, I’m not sure the type of spin I want to put on it, so for now I’ll post fairly straight-forward responses.
I put this month’s topics at the bottom of the post, but you can find the whole list on the host blog. If you don’t have a blog, you’re welcome to participate using other social media or even by putting your list in the comments.
This Week’s Topic: Books I Recommend to Others the Most
- May 2:
The First 10 Books I Randomly Grabbed from My Shelf (close your eyes and touch/grab/point to 10 random titles and tell us what they are! And tell us what you thought if you’ve read them!)
Books I Recommend to Others the Most
May 16: Things Getting in the Way of Reading (what’s taking up your time right now?) (lovingly stolen from A Cocoon of Books during freebie week)
May 23: Things That Make Me Instantly Want to Read a Book (these can be auto-buy authors, tropes you love, if an author you love blurbed it, settings, genres, etc.)
May 30: Things That Make Me Instantly NOT Want to Read a Book (what are your immediate turn-offs or dealbreakers when it comes to books?)
Happy second Tuesday in May!
I have a lot of novels that I’ve enjoyed. The ten novels that I selected are ones that first come to mind when it comes to novels that I enjoy and can re-read multiple times.
How about you? How did you interpret this week’s topic?

Great list! The Song of Achilles is on mine too. Such a wonderful read!
Great list! I’m listening to House in the Cerulean Sea right now.
There are so many great books on here. I can’t believe I forgot about House in the Cerulean Sea!!
I love the Gargoyle Queen series! Estep writes great fantasy stories.
Uh oh, your list reminds me of the books I forgot to add myself…
