Last week I finally finished the Red Queen series. Although it was just okay, I am still glad that I took the time to read it. I think there are a lot of excellent elements and I think with some adjustments here and there, the TV series being developed can bring this series a little closer to perfection. Since I read this after I started Aveyard’s other series, Realm Breaker, it has me even more anxious for the sequel as I really hope it does not let me down as, similar to Red Queen, it had a ton of potential.
I made some progress with the Three Dark Crowns series as I finished the first novel and have plans to continue to series. Most likely I will not get to this before the end of the month, though.
Since I only did one blog tour this week (Midsummer Magic) and had one ARC that was published (Mirrors of Ice), I decided to try and work on some of my back-log titles. After previously completing the other four novels in the Wedding Date series and the sixth will come out in July, I decided to read the fourth, Royal Holiday. Since I have Hang the Moon (the second novel), I read Written in the Stars. Now I need to get around to the second before the third releases next year. My last three reads are all semi-new releases that I wanted to read for awhile: One Last Stop, The Queer Principles of Kit Webb, and The Wolf and the Woodsman.
With only a few days left in June, I am not sure what other novels I will complete. I just started White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements #1) as I want to complete this series before moving on to the more recent The Harbinger series that is set in the same universe. My other two current reasons are Twice in a Lifetime, which I am reading as part of a blog tour and will post my review on Tuesday, and Outrageous, which is the second in the Rebels of the Ton series that I am reading as an ARC.

Recent Releases
Mirrors of Ice (Bewitching Fairy Tales #2) (review link above) was published on June 22nd.
The other new release is Legend of the Lakes (Once and Future Queen #3), which was published on June 24th. This series was amazing and was well put together as the story constantly built upon itself and had a spectacular (and satisfying) ending!
Happy 4th and final Saturday of June! How was your week? Did you read or do anything good?
